damn, that's trance right there

This is amazing man, i had to fave and download this,
this.. this is trance, real trance, not like the stuff i make and call it trance haha.

Well good work man, very proffesional. Probably the most remarkable thing is the mixing and production overall, you made a 12 min. long track and there wasn't even one unnecessary loop.

So.. it's probably about time you start wearing a top hat and a monocle.

..so..

..So i was looking at this knife i have sittin' on the table and thought, damn that sure is one fine looking knife... i want that knife in me.. but then i heard THIS....

...and died of sugar overdose.
Luckily god was cool enough to let me use his laptop to review this.

well, it's good that you try new things, that thing when you're planing on making something (dream trance in this example), and then you make something else, that happens to me all the time man. I do hate it sometimes when that happens :D.

Ok thyme fo' da proppa review, well the intro reminded me of your generic cristmas song, so i looked outside to see if it was snowing but i got a chocholate egg in my face.

I like the pass from 0.40 - 0.43 that came out nicely. Well you still have your production and mastering skills, the song ain't bad, not my style though, and still too early in development to give a proper rating. So i can't come up with any usefull constructive criticism, sorry mate.

Well it has no noticable flaws, it ain't bad.
Im giving this 9/10 4/5, cuz you cartainly can build on this, and I don't doubt you will, StYleChanger XD.

Amazing man, i knew you were a genious

Sorry for the late review, im kinnda a mess right now :D,
Anyway this is amazing, im sure i don't have to tell you how awesome the intro is, everybody before me did, i love how you mixed the different piano melodies, the effect is great.

As for the main part later, well the synth is awesome, melody's nice, bass is good, kick also, the only thing bothering me in this song is the snare, i find it really bad, it doesn't sound very high quality, maybe you overdid it on the filters or just chose the wrong snare, but it really does not sound clean, it kinnda distorts the rest of the music, maybe that effect was on purpose, but i think i would sound better cleaner.

Anyway this is amazing, and deffinetely the best thing you have ever done, you have surpassed me greatly with this song, i can't wait for you to finish it.

10/10, 5/5

It's technically not yet an intro though, I am planning on making another piano play with an pad. The same piano as in here will be still in here though. I'll deffinately change the snare, it's blasting every other sound away. However that was not on purpose. Thanks for the input! And yeah I'll see you around. ;)

Quite good, with a few touches of genious

Af far as the piano goes, the only thing that bothers me are those 3 low keys per bar. They point out too much, I would try decresing key velocity, volume, or just change them. It's not a big deal though, and maybe it's just me.

Ok than come those synths at 0.14 really nice effect with those, did you use a really close timed slight delay and reverb on that one, and a filter right to get that waving feeling ? Anyway that's really nice. My kind of trance right there.

Hmm then 0.27 that's good all around, well yeah the claps, but that's been already said by HelthRMX (also it's not really such a big deal), I really like the bassline, sounds like a low pitched saw or a PWM.

Good work man, well it's to be expected from a Hollander right. Im coming to your country man, gonna be there 7. 3. on Trance energy in Utrecht.

About the synth it's Nexus>'Sam in heaven' with some mixing effects ofcourse yes. ;D The bassline is home made lol, I mixed it with all the effecs I could to get this electronic feel. Really nice that you're coming to Utrecht for trance energy, I think it's going to be huge! And maybe I'll be there too! :D Thanks for the review, i love it thanks!

Hey man

I was checking teck071's newer songs, and i saw your comments, i was like hmm this guy has some good points. So i got here, and you're not bad kid. You have a good sense for melodies and synths. Everything comes together nicely, the bass synth that comes in at 0.48 maybe goes a little too low, i would limit that with the EQ or use a filter on that, maybe made it sligtly quieter. Other than that i like it.

Just suggestions, im no expert. Anyway i like it, i'll be sure to check your stuff in the future, im gonna check your previous works too.

If you want you can check my songs out, im not good though, and they only recently started to suck less.

Not bad

You show some nice ideas and promise here, but you also have noticable difficoulties in some areas. The melodies are good, transitions are good too, they don't get boring.

The thing that really stops this track from being better are the beats, in a lot of places the beats just don't go well together with the melodies and/or pads, it sounds very out of place in some areas.

0.14 - 0.28 the pad is really not suited for that beat, that kind of pad is normally used to drive the song toward a transition without any percussion, the beat feels really out of place there. I don't know why you used it, maybe to kill repetition or something ?

also that kick pattern you use in some places like till 1.06, the three kicks per bar, that kind of kicks really don't feel right in your track in my opinion, they tend to really ruin the rhytm.

Anyway, you're pretty good, melodies are nice, song has decent depth, it's mixed quite nicely, with good transitions, it's just that the rhytm kinnda f**ked with you on this one.

Well that's my opinion, take care.

I had been thinking that the percussion needed work, although i have to admit its never been my strong point. I thought the pad at the start fitted ok to be honest. I might go back and completely redo the percussion, because its never something i spend much work on.
Oh and i used the percussion and the pad at the start because i wanted to have percussion in the start of the song and also have it build up. I realize now that ive overlooked a lot of things on this song. Im gonna completely redo a lot of areas in it now...

YO, you've been working on this one for quite some time eh, it's good, great mastering, i actually wouldn't mind if i heard this on trance energy, i would be dancing my ass off or something, with a glass (or bottle) of old scotch in one hand.

Really, you've put a lot of effort in this one and it shows, i am honored you have me in your favourite audio.

Stopping by to give you a pat on the back

Good work, i like it, especially the buildup in the beggining, yeah the kicks might be too strong for this type of music, i agree with the guy below on that one, more subtleness there would help, also i think if you later on added a background melody or maybe a higher one to complement the main one, that would really add depth to it.

But anyway, im no expert, and it's a good track you've made here, so keep up the good work.

Thanks for the review, and yeah I'll mess with the kick :) I did put in another melody on top of the piano but they were clashing so I'll have to go back and rework things. I'm good at pairing sounds together it's just figuring out what they should do is hard :S
